Representative matters include appeals regarding the Canadian Hockey League’s restriction on competition for major junior ice hockey players, global banks’ collusion to fix LIBOR, and a major surgical instrument maker’s improper tying arrangement. We also serve as co-counsel in multiple district court cases, including a case challenging a major pharmaceutical company’s improper attempt to extend its patent monopoly on a multi-billion-dollar drug.

We partner with the leading securities trial firms in appeals and district court litigation. Representative matters include a Second Circuit appeal in a case challenging a leading defense contractor’s misleading statements about defects in its airplane engine and partnering with a leading plaintiffs’ securities firm challenging misleading statements by a large, public technology company.
Personal Injury
We are a trusted partner for defending significant verdicts on appeal. Representative matters include defending a $25 million medical malpractice verdict in Maine and a $25 million product-liability verdict in California.
Mass Torts
We play a leading role in several major MDLs, including serving on the law and briefing committee for the MDL for plaintiffs suing Roblox and various co-defendants for failing to warn of risks and protect users from sexual predators.
Intellectual Property
We have argued or led the briefing for dozens of patent appeals in the Federal Circuit, representing both patent owners and defendants in cases involving technology ranging from pharmaceuticals to medical devices to computing technology.
Immigration
We are among the most experienced appellate immigration lawyers in the country. We have argued or supervised five immigration cases at the U.S Supreme Court. We also represent noncitizens challenging final removal orders through petitions for review, serve as counsel in cutting-edge civil litigation challenging the federal government’s immigration policies, and represent individuals who have been subjected to unlawful immigration enforcement by ICE.
