Zimmer, Citron & Clarke Represents Mother and Children in Lawsuit Against ICE

Zimmer, Citron & Clarke LLP and Lawyers for Civil Rights filed a federal lawsuit against the United States on behalf of a Massachusetts mother and her two children following a September 2025 encounter with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

The lawsuit alleges that ICE officers shattered the family's car windows and violently arrested Hilda Ramirez Sanan, a lawful permanent resident, in front of her two U.S. citizen children. The family alleges that the encounter caused lasting physical and emotional harm.

Zimmer, Citron & Clarke Partner Rachel Shalev represents the family in Ramirez Sanan v. United States. The lawsuit seeks to hold the federal government accountable for the alleged misconduct and the harm suffered by the family.
